Are You Drowning? Here's a Glass of Water

A homeless man was standing outside a hotel in Columbia, Md., where people were just emerging from a fancy dress ball. The poorly dressed man asked this one Yuppette for a dollar.

"What is wrong with you?" she said. "I just came from a charity ball where I spent $1,000 for a dress, $200 to have my hair done and nails polished, $300 for shoes, and the tickets to this event were $1,500, of which only $50 is tax deductible. How dare you ask me for a dime when I've just spent all that money on you?"
