Film Review - Quiz Show

Americans love scandal, and in the 1950s, we had one right under our noses. We loved the quiz show on our TV and were easily suckered into thinking it had to be on the up and up.

WRONG! Johnny, tell America what it will be taking home as a parting gift!

Quiz Show is so good because it is so true. This really did happen and the names haven't been changed to protect anyone, guilty or innocent. These people are real, with everyone's motivation on the table: the producer's desire for high ratings; the returning champion's desire to live the life of the world's smartest man, and a son trying to live up to his family's expectations.

This is high human drama and one of Redford's best.

No Suction!
