This is a beautiful fairy tale parody with bad guys who are good, and good guys who are bad. The tale revolves around the quest for true love, but nothing as dry and stale as The Liz Taylor Story.

Rob Reiner is in the driver's seat on this film and his craftsmanship is on full display. The Princess Bride works on many levels. Every character has great lines. The acting is cartoonish in an appropriate way. Don't bother renting, just buy this movie. Each time you watch it, it's just as enjoyable as the first time.

Being a Rob Reiner film, the dialogue is very tight. Words, although there are more than in the average film, are not wasted. A few of our faves...
