Film Review - Perfect Storm, The
More like the Perfect Boredom. A simple story of New England Fishermen pushed by money and ego to go out one last time in search of swordfish. Their luck runs out and they die. The End.
So why do I need to sit through 129 minutes of this dull meaningless story? There's no point to the story, there's no suspense. We know they are going to die. It was in all the papers.
As for structure, every reel and a half, just to wake you up, they do something. Either someone falls overboard or a shark jumps onto the ship and starts chewing on a guy's leg. I'm not kidding.
Dull, Pointless, Boring. Don't bother.
