Film Review - Men in Black II

Men in Black II one of the most anticipated sequels of the season blasted onto the silver screen bigger than all those brain cells you get back when they hit you with that flashy thing.

Wow, this was funny, but the story makes no sense.

Agent J (Will Smith) is still saving the world. He's making sure the subway-eating worm stays in its place. And, in general, making sure everyone knows he's the man.

Then a mean lady from outer space arrives and starts shaking down the planet. What she wants is so trivial, I can't even remember what it was. The MIBs decide they need Agent K.

K (Tommy Lee Jones) quit at the end of the last movie. He hit himself with the flashy thing and went back to a boring life. He's now a Post Master. J drops by to recruit him, the laughs really start. The story is now in the way.

Seriously, the story is holier than thou. It makes no sense in the end. But this movie is funnier than hell. The writer has pulled out every possible MIB joke and is rapid-firing them at you. There's not much else to say.

Let's boil this down. I was entertained. I laughed a lot. I said, "Hey wait a minute..." when I left the theater. The lack of story usually gets a low score from me. But since I was never bored with this piece of bubble gum, I'll toss in some extra points for the jokes. Such a deal!

Jammed Pipe!
