Film Review - Kung Pow: Enter the Fist
Kung Pow: Enter the Fist is a screwball comedy cut from the same pattern as What's Up, Tiger Lily? Film maker Steve Oedekerk bought two Hong Kong Kung Fu movies, tossed out the audio and edited them together. Next, he digitally inserted himself into the Kung Fu movies and became the hero.
There's not much story here. Child is born, parents are killed, little baby kicks bad guy's butt. Child grows up, kicks more butt. Meanwhile, lots of silly things happen. (Such as the Chosen One fighting a cow.)
This is honestly a lot of fun. Stuff happens that you just don't expect to see in a movie. This is a simple film with no real message. It's important to not over-analyse such film. Just watch it, and enjoy it.
