Film Review - Jackie Brown

Jackie Brown is one of those movies that you look forward to because the director has a name, and you leave the theater wondering if an auto accident would make more sense.

Jackie is a airline stewardess, (sorry, they don't like being called that; they are now Flight Attendant Babes), who has a checkered past. She's 45, and can only work for the worst airline on earth, (make up your own joke here) because of past screw-ups.

Jackie is also smuggling money into the US of A and gets caught. The Feds make a deal with her. She helps them get Mr. Big and she gets off.

I have one question for director Quentin Tarantino. Am I supposed to feel sorry for this loser? Give me a break, I can't identify with some thief who's the hero just because she wants to steal from a bigger crook.

Along the way we're treated to weird romances between Jackie and her bail bondsman, and a junkie and a nympho. Does Tarantino see this as a slice of life? Good thing Jimmy Stewart's dead or this would kill him.

If you have a sick and twisted little mind like Tarantino, you're probably going to think Jackie Brown is an incredible documentary. Otherwise stay away from this suck monster.
