This may be the most-perfect film I have seen this year. Intacto is a simple film with only one premise the audience needs to buy into. The idea that luck is a real thing, and it can be stolen.

If you can believe this (not hard to do considering what we are often asked to believe in movies) the film presents a straight-forward story. Tomas is a lucky thief. He is the sole survivor of an airline crash. This brings him to the attention of Federico who wants to use Tomas to win a fortune in games the lucky people gamble on.

The games are interesting. Everything from whose head will a bug light on, to Russian Roulette, to running through a forest blindfolded. Federico's goal isn't only to win all of the bets, but to beat the man who stole his luck ten years earlier.

This film has got intrigue, suspense, and a neat gimmick. It's also great film making. Had the film been longer, it would have started to drag. Film Maker Juan Carlos Fresnadillo has made Intacto just the right length. This is a Spanish production. But if you rent the DVD, you can switch the audio to an English dub if you need it.

This is one not to miss!
