Film Review - Hot Shots!
Hot Shots! is a big disappointment. This visual gag-a-minute film doesn't hold a candle to other films of the genre (Airplane I and II, Police Squad, and Spy Hard). There's just something not clicking here. This is surprising, considering two of the original Airplane crew (director Jim Abrahams, and Lloyd Bridges) are back in this film.
Is it possible that it was the Zucker brothers who held the magic in the other films? Perhaps so. I can only give Hot Shots! a mediocre rating.
