 Film Review - Groundhog Day

Groundhog Day is proof that Bill Murray is funny if he is

Directed by Harold Ramis. The film is a wonderful piece of a man stuck in one day until he gets his shit together.

Murray plays Phil, a TV weather man who is bored, cynical and just plain old not a very nice guy. He's sent to see the annual groundhog looking at its shadow ceremony, only to find he has to live it over and over.

It's as if the universe has stopped and said, "We'll all just wait until you catch up." In that time, Phil attempts suicide as many ways as can be thought of, and sleeps with everyone he can. And he finally learns to love another, and be loved.

Murray is at the top of his game in Groundhog Day. He's got a decent range of emotions in this piece, and his timing is good. But even Murray can't keep Groundhog Day from becoming a little monotonous. I mean, even we have to live through the same day over and over. But I think this movie is worth your time.

Jammed Pipe!
