The big question on my mind when I went to see End of Days was "Is this the end of Arnold's career?" Arnold -- as in Schwarzenegger -- has had a series of box office flops since True Lies. If End of Days flops, Schwarzenegger might be forced into doing True Lies 2 or (Dare I say it? Dare! Dare!) Terminator 3!

Schwarzenegger plays Jericho Cane, an ex-cop in the private security business. Cane's latest client is fired upon by a snipper. Cane's investigation of the attempted assassination leads him into a tangled web leading to the countdown to the year 2000. It appears Satan is in Gotham for the celebration, and is prowling for that special someone to create the anti-Christ with. Of course, Cane can't let that go unchecked and begins protecting the girl and fighting Satan.

I guess it would be all right if everyone in the film didn't appear so stupid. You have Cane thinking he can beat the Devil with guns, Priests who have all the answers but won't get involved and, worst of all, Satan himself, who just plain-old can't kill off the people in his way. I mean get real! If you're Satan, and this punk Cane gets in your way, you would just kill him with an evil look, right? I would.

This isn't the blockbuster Arnold needed. I'd say they odds on True Lies 2 or (Dare I say it? Dare! Dare!) Terminator 3 are looking real good now. So this is either a good thing or a bad thing, depending on your point of view.
