Film Review - Creature Comforts
Just in case you thought Mongo is the only one biased towards Nick Park's works, here's what I think about Creature Comforts, one of Mr. Park's earliest releases.
AWESOME! BRILLIANT! AMAZING! WONDERFUL! PURE GENIUS!
In this five-minute short, you meet many wonderful zoo animals who share with you their feelings of life. My favorite is the jaguar who is hanging out on the fake limb some zookeeper stuck in the cage. The momma rodent is hilarious, too: as she speaks, some of her babies keep falling out of the box which serves as their home.
The animation is beautiful! Like all of Nick Park's works, there are always details one missed in the last viewing. No wonder it received the Academy Award for Best Animated Short in 1990.
