Film Review - Close Shave, A

A Close Shave is the third film in the Wallace and Gromit series of claymation shorts. I've said so many superlatives about the previous films, if I do so again, I'll start to sound like a broken record. Needless to say the third is even better in both technical achievement and story.

As the story opens, our heroes now own a window-washing service. Nothing about this service is run-of-the-mill mundane stuff. Wallace's inventions are employed everywhere in the business.

There's a wool shortage and sheep are disappearing. Gromit will be framed and heroicly, he and Wallace will save the damsel and deal with the bad guy. Did I mention the damsel in distress? Wallace falls in love! More of this story I will not tell you.

This film is very ambitious and another Oscar winner for director Nick Park. Watch for this film and the rest of the series during PBS begging breaks.

No Suction!
