Film Review - Barb Wire
You must remember this, a kiss is just a kiss...
A sigh is just a sigh ... and that's what I did when I watched Barb Wire. OK, here's the secret to this film: it's a rip-off of Casablanca. Pamela Anderson Lee is in the Richard Blaine role. Yes, she owns a bar. Yes, she's been heartbroken. Yes, she has the letters of transit. Yes there are Nazi-like thugs in this flick.
In all honesty, I would have fallen asleep had I not been predicting every scene. Oh, yes, the head of the criminal element is a fat man. Pamela does give the bar away. And in the end, she will also give the letters of transit (in this case, they're actually contact lenses) to the freedom fighter who will also take her love away.
If you just want to see a tall blonde show off her hooters, this is the film for you. However, if the story is what you want to see, go get a copy of Casablanca; the actors are much better and the motivations are much better drawn out.
