Film Review - Back To The Future
Back to the Future is a fun movie that asks you to swallow a complete implausibility in exchange for a good time. Robert Zemeckis (Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Forest Gump) directed this tightly-woven science fiction/comedy.
The weak point is the villain who is too simplistic, and the strong point is not the hero, but the mad scientist sidekick who caused this whole mess.
Future does a great job with the settings and technology to the 1950s. The people are the stereotype we think of when we think of the '50s. Think of going into a dinner and finding everything laden with sugar, and a diet cola? Never heard of that.
Hungry for some popcorn? Need a great date movie? This is a good choice. Just remember, it's bubble gum, not a social statement.
