 Film Review - Anastasia

Wow! What a bad movie! I mean really ... on all fronts this sucked way beyond expectation!

Anastasia is about the fall of Czarist Russia and the happy-go-lucky days that followed. Or so it says. Never mind that life sucked in Russia both before and after the revolution. That's not important; it might upset the kiddies and make them not like the Happy Meal.

The reason you would want to see this flick is because Don Bluth made it. Bluth, a former Disney animator who went out on his own, has created many wonderful films and even video games. Don, what happened? The mix of cell painting and computer animation is completely mismatched. Really great falling snow with a really flat background! It's completely uneven. There are also shots where elements are out of perspective. Didn't you see that in post-production?

Honestly, there's nothing that would make you want to see this over a Disney film.

Sucks and Blows!
